Cartoon of a house. At Hyped, we offer Young People somewhere safe to stay if they find they need it – we have more than90 places available across Bournemouth, Poole, East Dorset and Christchurch for single homeless Young People aged 16 – 25.

We can support those who’ve found themselves involved in crime, as well as those with other specific issues, helping them move through linked stages of accommodation assistance.

It’s bewildering and frightening enough for a Young Person to find themselves on the street – but we understand that things may also have happened that are especially hard to deal with.  If someone is particularly vulnerable, for whatever reason, we can offer support for Young People who need some extra reassurance.

Our staff and volunteers offer support with any day to day problems and help residents to plan their own futures. Specialist support may be brought in from agencies such as Connexions, for jobs and careers, and SHADOWS, if there are drug issues.

Developing life skills is vital. We encourage our residents to do college or training courses, voluntary work or activities offered by the Millennium Volunteers and the Princes Trust.

Social events are important too! Going to the pictures, meals out, and recently, a trip to France for residents at one scheme all help to build confidence.
